Mirzapur The Movie is now very close to the ₹200 crore mark in India. After 12 days, the film had collected ₹195.70 crore net domestically. Its India gross stood at ₹233.14 crore, while the overseas gross was ₹48 crore, taking the worldwide total to ₹281.14 crore. The figures reported on September 16 come from trade tracker Sacnilk.
Mirzapur The Movie Box Office Collection
The film opened in cinemas on September 4 and had a strong first week. Its second week has been quieter, but the numbers are still adding up. On Day 12, Mirzapur The Movie made around ₹5.50 crore in India across 6,950 shows. That pushed the domestic net collection close to ₹200 crore. The next few days will tell us how far the film can go. The ₹200 crore India mark is now within reach. The worldwide total is also sitting below ₹300 crore, which gives the film another number to chase.

Why the Mirzapur Movie Has Worked
The interesting part is where this film came from. Mirzapur was already a major streaming franchise before reaching theatres. The series had spent three seasons building its characters and audience. Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu became closely associated with the world of Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna.
The movie gave that audience a reason to return. Abhishek Banerjee, who played Compounder in the original series and also worked as a casting director on Mirzapur, recently spoke about the film’s success. He said the industry has changed since the series first arrived and that there is no longer a clear boundary between OTT and cinema.
₹200 Crore Is Close. What Happens After That?
The domestic milestone is now the immediate target. But the worldwide figure is also worth watching. At ₹281.14 crore after 12 days, the film is around ₹19 crore away from ₹300 crore worldwide. The question is whether the second-week slowdown will make that harder. The film is earning less on weekdays than it did during its opening run, and new releases are also competing for audiences.
Still, Mirzapur The Movie has already done something unusual. It took a franchise that was built for streaming and brought its audience into cinemas. Whether it finishes around ₹200 crore in India or manages to push much higher, the theatrical run has given the Mirzapur universe a new chapter beyond Prime Video.
For now, ₹200 crore is the number everyone is waiting for.
