Many popular anime series are not created directly for television. Some begin as light novels, which are Japanese books that usually feature simple language, engaging characters and stories written for young readers and adults.
These books often become popular because of their interesting worlds, emotional moments and exciting plots. When adapted into anime, they get a new way to reach audiences through animation, music and voice acting.
If you enjoy anime and want to explore stories that started in books, there are several interesting options to try. From fantasy adventures to science fiction and mystery, these seven anime based on light novels offer different viewing experiences.
1. Re − Starting Life in Another World
Re is a fantasy anime that follows Subaru Natsuki, an ordinary young man who suddenly finds himself in a strange world. Soon, he discovers that he has an unusual ability that allows him to return to an earlier point in time after dying.
However, this power does not make his journey easy. Subaru has to face dangerous situations, difficult choices and the emotional cost of experiencing painful events again and again.
The series is known for its suspense, unexpected developments and character struggles. It is a good choice for viewers who enjoy fantasy stories with a darker side.
2. Violet Evergarden
Violet Evergarden is a beautiful and emotional anime about a young woman trying to understand human feelings after experiencing war.
After the conflict ends, Violet starts working as an Auto Memory Doll. Her job is to write letters for people who find it difficult to express their emotions.
